Location: Nyrugusu Refugee Camp and Nduta Refugee Camp, Tanzania

Position Title: Water Sanitation Manager and Health Post Logistics

Tasks/Objectives:

Designing and planning camp wide vector control campaign, this included community outreach to inform of the chemical spraying and educational efforts to ensure understanding. Tasked with planning a sector by sector to cover between the two camps nearly a quarter million refugee with a combination of some targeted areas and some full coverage actions. 

For medical solid waste, coordinated with the Logistics Team Leader and planned the new layout and design of the expansion for the hospital solid waste facility. This included, calculations, 3D design, materials & labor cost estimates and construction.

In Nduta Refugee Camp managed the logistical operations of 6 Health Posts distributed throughout the camp that act as primary care centers. For each of these posts, tasks included design, site layout, cost estimates and construction of a water tower and water pipeline network to not only the existing infrastructure but ensure that future expansion and integration with the planned permanent building would be possible.

Responsibilities included the site selection, site layout, design, planning, cost estimates, bill of quantities, contracting and site inspections for the 6th health post.
