About Wayne

My degree is in Civil Engineering, from Washington State University. My background includes an extensive number of projects, with project locations all around the world; working from project conception, through planning/design and on to bidding and construction. This blend of working with a various local governments, coordinating with local public officials and members of the public from around the globe grants a unique perspective, that has been an absolute privilege to have experienced. I have worked with diverse teams of professionals from all around the world (usually with english not their primary language) and from nearly every walk of life; coordinating with a myriad of departments, working with Medical Team Leaders managing the operations of a 150+ bed hospital to Logistics Coordinators running country wide operations.

During my work with Doctors without Borders (MSF), Oxfam and Save the Children, I have gained extensive experience with engineering design, computations, cost estimates, and permitting. I was tasked with implementing across numerous construction projects, as well as ensuring we were in line with the governmental regulations and permits throughout the process. As one would expect the variations of permits and requirements changes from every location and country, therefore good planning is need to stay on schedule. For projects, I would be involved at nearly every step, from the planning and design, to the cost estimates, on to bidding and permitting. During the actual construction, I would be the onsite engineer ensuring the work was being done to specifications. With the country offices of the NGOs usually in the capital city; reports, designs and sit-reps are necessary to insure the whole team was on the same page. Most recently, I have worked with Doctors without Borders as part of the Covid19 Emergency Response Explo Team.

During my work with SCS Engineers and the city, I gained valuable field experience, as well as proficiency in permitting, design, construction and costing of projects. Farther back, during my work with the BioSystems Engineering Lab at WSU I have experience with field data collection and fish research projects.

Currently I am working as a Liaison Engineer supporting factory production for the 777 and 777X family of airplanes at Boeing Commercial Airplanes in the Everett Factory.
